Hotel Bath House*** (Hotel Fürdőház***)
Hotel Bath House*** has been welcoming guests to Sóstógyógyfürdő since 1911! There was already a bath building on the site in the late 1700’s, so it can be considered the first built bath of Sóstógyógyógyfürdő.
The Hotel Bath House*** is situated directly on the shore of the lake of Sóstó, with 14 double rooms, 2 family rooms and 2 apartments on the first floor, and an elegant wellness area, breakfast room and café on the ground floor. The room rates include breakfast, the use of the private wellness area and the entrance ticket to the Aquarius Experience and Park Baths, located 50 metres from the hotel, for every day of your stay! The wellness area of the Hotel Bath House*** caters for almost every need, with a large hot-water pool, a plunge pool with medicinal water, saunas, salt cave and whirlpool.
The building is included in the list of monuments and it was designed by István Pazár in 1910 – already then, it had 8 rooms and 6 bathtubs, with a plumbing system. The Hotel’s interiors have recently been renovated in a modern style, remaining in line with the forest surroundings. The interior design concept was based on the environmental elements of the building’s location, so that the pattern of leaves of the stalked oak run along the walls in the hotel’s common areas and rooms. The hotel is fully accessible and has a lift.
The interior design of the rooms is uniform, both in terms of style and equipment, up to today’s standards, so the Hotel Bath House*** has been awarded a 3-star rating by the Hotelstars system. The extremely comfortable beds are complemented by free coffee and tea making facilities, and bathrobes and slippers are provided free of charge for all guests.
The family-friendly hotel is ideal for weekend breaks or longer stays. Thanks to its excellent location, the Aquarius Experience and Park Baths, the Nyíregyháza ZOO and the Sóstó Museum Village are within an easy walk, and cosy restaurants are in the immediate vicinity.
